Forest Green marched into the Second Round of The FA Cup, after dumping League Two Rotherham United out of the competition at Millmoor.
Stuart Fleetwood’s 23rd goal of the season rounded off a sensational victory for the Blue Square Premier side after Chris Giles and Simon Clist had all but sealed the win.
Jim Harvey’s men will now travel to League One Swindon in the Second Round.
It was also a famous night at Elland Road as Hereford inflicted a 1-0 defeat on Dennis Wise’s Leeds side.
Lionel Ainsworth’s third minute goal was enough to give Graham Turner’s men a deserved victory and a Second Round home clash with Hartlepool United.
But there was last-gasp heartbreak for Blue Square North side Barrow, who lost 3-2 at League One Bournemouth.
Barrow came from behind to lead 2-1 with Nick Rogan and Jason Walker producing wonder strikes to leave their side within a whisker of pulling off a famous upset.
However, a last minute penalty by Max-Alain Gradel took the game into extra-time before Danny Hollands smashed home his second of the evening in stoppage time of extra-time to leave Barrow (pictured below) distraught.
League One leaders Carlisle were also sent crashing out of the competition with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Grimsby Town.
Gary Jones scored the only goal of the game as the Mariners clinched their first win in 12 games to set up a Second Round meeting with Huddersfield Town.
Brighton and Hove Albion will meet Torquay United at Plainmoor in the Second Round after they overcame Cheltenham Town 2-1 at the Withdean Stadium.
Adam El-Abd gave the hosts a first-half lead, only for Steven Gillespie to level for Keith Downing’s men.
But Dean Hammond's 68th minute penalty proved vital as Brighton hung on for victory.
Northampton Town fought off a strong challenge from League Two Darlington to book a home tie with Walsall in the next round.
Andy Kirk and Bradley Johnson were both on the scoresheet for Stuart Gray’s side, while Tommy Wright’s late strike proved a mere consolation for the Quakers.
Leyton Orient’s trip to Bristol Rovers was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, so the two teams will try again next Tuesday at the Memorial Ground, while Staines will re-stage their home tie with Stockport this Thursday.
