Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp paid tribute to his side after their famous FA Cup victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Redknapp, who has never played for or managed a team at Wembley, says his team deserve all the plaudits for their determined display.

“It was the worst draw of the lot,” he said, after seeing Portsmouth secure their first victory at Old Trafford since 1957 courtesy of Sulley Muntari's second half penalty (pictured left).

“It was great performance. It was fantastic, we got slaughtered last time we came here.

“We had a game plan, as you have to do when you come here. We worked, grafted and deserved it.

“We rode our luck at times, but they’re a fantastic team. You need a bit of luck. They are different class and fantastic.

“It’s one of my best days in football. The whole team was magnificent. I’m delighted for them and for the fans.”
