Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted he is desperate to rectify his FA Cup record at Wembley in May.

The Portuguese international scored two goals in Sunday's 3-1 Fourth Round win over Tottenham Hotspur and now he will be aiming to knock out Arsenal in the Fifth Round and continue his crusade to get to another Final.

Ronaldo won The FA Cup Final in his debut Manchester United year against Millwall, in 2004, but has since gone on to lose twice - to Arsenal and Chelsea.

Now he is sure United can go all the way again, and said: "It is important to win The FA Cup. We want to win it.

"I have lost two finals and won one and I want to win again. I believe we can. I am confident of that."

Arsenal won 2-0 at Old Trafford the last time they were drawn together at this stage of the competition, in 2003.

The Gunners went on to beat Southampton in the Final on that occasion and they beat United on penalties when the two sides met again in the 2005 Final.

But Ronaldo, whose brace included a penalty on Sunday, is confident after seeing off Arsenal's north London rivals.

"Tottenham are a good team and they came to Old Trafford confident after a good result against Arsenal in the Carling Cup in midweek," he added.

"But we played better and deserved to win. Sometimes you miss and sometimes you score. My confidence is always positive."
