Manchester United's clash with Arsenal this Saturday is without question the tie of the Fifth Round, but they will have to serve up something special to emulate their Semi-Final thriller nine years ago.

The top two sides in the Premier League have met 11 times in the competition - both have won five times although Arsenal's most recent triumph was on penalties in the 2005 Final - while the one draw spawned the wonderful replay at Villa Park in 1999.

Three days after the initial stalemate, David Beckham broke the deadlock on 17 minutes with a glorious arching strike which eluded David Seaman.

Arsenal drew level midway through the second half when Dennis Bergkamp's long-range strike took a wicked deflection past Peter Schmeichel.

In a pulsating last few minutes of normal time United battled to hold on after Roy Keane’s dismissal. Right at the death Arsenal were awarded a spot-kick but Schmeichel dived full-length to his left to beat away Bergkamp’s shot.

But the drama did not end there as Ryan Giggs scored an extra-time winner of breathtaking brilliance. The Welsh winger weaved his way through the Arsenal defence before planting a powerful drive into the roof of the Arsenal net.
