Julio Arca wants to banish the memory of FA Cup Semi-Final heartbreak in his Sunderland days and go all the way to this season's final with Middlesbrough.
Championship side Cardiff City visit the Riverside Stadium for Sunday's quarter-final clash, and Arca sees the tie as a great opportunity for Boro.
The Argentinian midfielder was a member of the Sunderland side beaten 1-0 by Millwall in the semi-finals at Old Trafford four years ago.
He recalled: "The semi-final was one of the lowest points of my career. It was great to get to a semi-final, but disappointing to get so close to the final and not make it.
"It's one of the most important cups in Europe, if not the world. Everyone has the same ambition to win it and it would be fantastic if we could.
"I'm not thinking about that at the moment, but it would be fantastic to win on Sunday and make up for it with Middlesbrough. It's close now, it's only one game from the semi-final and you get excited about it.''
