Eligibility of Clubs Entering

Clubs outside the Premier League and Football League are reminded that it is only possible to enter The FA Cup if currently competing in either The FA Trophy or The FA Vase. Therefore, clubs submitting a new application to enter The FA Cup must have participated in The FA Vase in the 2007-2008 season.

Entry into The FA Cup is not automatic for those clubs currently competing in The FA Vase who are not currently competing in The FA Cup. New applications for The FA Cup are only considered from clubs that will be competing in leagues at Step 6 and above, for season 2008-2009, with the minimum ground standards.

Entry into The FA Trophy is restricted to clubs competing in leagues at Step 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Many other clubs throughout the country may consider themselves to be of an acceptable playing standard but new applications for The FA Vase will only be considered from clubs that are currently competing in either a league at Step 5, 6 and 7 of the National League System, or any other league, if they meet the specified minimum ground requirements.
