John Terry is hoping for a double celebration at Wembley on Saturday - an FA Cup triumph and a special birthday party!
Chelsea captain Terry is desperate to beat Manchester United in The FA Cup Final, especially after losing out to Sir Alex Ferguson’s men in the league.
But he will also have one eye on his twins - Summer and Georgie, who celebrate their first birthday on Friday.
It hardly seems 12 months ago that Terry had to rush home from England's pre-World Cup training camp in Portugal to see the pair born. But he is planning an extra special celebration - especially if Chelsea win!
"I’ll be taking them to Wembley," said Terry. "It's their birthday the day before, but no party. We're going to try and do it after and hopefully combine the two with friends and family."
Whatever happens, though, it will be an emotional and exciting weekend for Terry, whose only previous experience of Wembley was sitting on the bench in the 2000 final
Dennis Wise famously lifted the trophy that day - with baby son Henry in one arm and The FA Cup in the other!
It has become an iconic FA Cup picture but might prove difficult for Terry to reproduce.
"I wouldn’t have an arm left to lift the trophy," he joked.
But that doesn’t mean Terry, and Chelsea, aren’t fired up for what should be an historic match at the new Wembley.
"We’ll be up for it, I think that's safe to say for all the lads," said Terry. "But that's not saying Man United won't be going into it that way, too. They're a great side with a lot of English boys and they know what it means to the fans and to the club.
"The FA Cup is a great trophy and for it to be the first one at the new Wembley is another reason to be fired up.
"We haven’t won it before as a group, either. It’s a chance for us to lift the trophy for the first time together."
