Jose Mourinho has told his Chelsea players they will need to match Blackburn's Wembley desire if they are to reach The FA Cup Final.

Chelsea go into Sunday's Semi-Final at Old Trafford as favourites to go through but Mourinho knows Rovers will be hugely motivated to overturn the odds.

He said: "We are one step from being at Wembley and we want it badly. But it’s Blackburn, it’s not an easy team.

"If it means a lot for us it means a lot for them too or even more because their players don’t have chances year after year to be in finals.

"I don’t think anybody thinks the final can be Watford v Blackburn but it can be. And especially in my group I want them to realise that. I think that can help us be ready."

Mourinho insists his own team are also desperate to reach Wembley, especially after losing in the last four to Liverpool last year.

It is the one domestic trophy Mourinho has failed to win since arriving in England, having already picked up the Premiership twice and the League Cup twice.

He said: "It’s something we have spoken about for a long time, the chance to play in an FA Cup Final at the new Wembley.

"Last season we were dreaming about it but we lost in the semi-finals. But this year we played very serious from the very start of the competition and we fought very hard in two great matches against Tottenham to be here.

"Now Blackburn are in our way and it will be tough. We must give them credit for beating Arsenal on the way here and respect them. It is a big prize."
