Plymouth Argyle and Watford, who clash in this season's FA Cup Sixth Round, have been drawn together on four previous occasions.
Famously they met in the semi-finals in 1984, Third Division Argyle losing to George Reilly's goal before a crowd of nearly 44,000 at Villa Park.
Reaching the semis in that year remains the Pilgrims' best performance in The Cup.
But their first Cup meeting, a Second Round tie in 1929 when both clubs played in Division Three South, produced a hat-trick hero.
Argyle held Watford to a 1-1 draw at Vicarage Road before Home Park hosted the replay four days later.
Horace Vidler, known as "Jack", was born in Portsmouth and played football in the Army before signing for Plymouth in the 1928-29 season. He scored 103 goals in 257 matches, making him the sixth all-time top scorer in the club's history.
It was Vidler's hat-trick in a 3-0 replay victory that knocked Watford out of The Cup in 1929. Plymouth then lost 4-3 at home to Second Division Hull City in Round Three, Vidler netting again.
The legendary Pilgrims marksman passed away in 1953, the year of the "Matthews Final".
