Plymouth legend Tommy Tynan has backed the current squad to do what his vintage could not - and find a way past Watford in The FA Cup.
Striker Tynan was a vital member of the 1984 Pilgrims squad that got all the way to the semi-finals as a Third Division outfit.
However, Graham Taylor's exciting young Watford side secured a 1-0 win at Villa Park to end Plymouth's dreams of a trip to Wembley.
The two sides come head-to-head again in the tournament this weekend, at the quarter-final stage, and Tynan feels the boys from Devon can get some revenge for his side's defeat.
"I know I am a bit biased on this but I think Plymouth can beat Watford. They are playing very well at the moment," he explained.
"They've got one or two very good youngsters, especially Scott Sinclair from Chelsea. He's electric and he's only 17-years-old. He's a good prospect, as is young Dan Gosling, who scored his first goal for the club recently.
"The town is buzzing at the moment. They've been queueing up for tickets and I'm sure it will be a total sell-out."
Tynan has great memories of the 1984 Cup run, despite the ultimate disappointment at the final hurdle.
But he remains a massive fan of the competition and is hoping the current squad can at least match his achievements and savour the atmosphere of a semi-final.
"It's the best knock-out competition in the world and it generates so much passion," he added.
"It seems that only in our country can the lesser-lights beat the top dogs all the way throughout the competition.
"Plymouth have got a very, very good chance against Watford and I think they would have fancied themselves against anyone, especially at home - even one of the really big boys.
"I don't normally predict scorelines, but I think it will be a tight game won by the odd goal, so I will say 2-1 to Argyle."
