Luton Town 0-4 Blackburn

Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes was impressed with young striker Matt Derbyshire, who scored twice in the 4-0 rout of Luton Town.

Derbyshire, 20, has now scored five goals in his last six games for Blackburn, and earned himself a new contract last Monday.

Hughes said: "He’s done exceptionally well and has taken his opportunity to stake a claim for a first team place.

"Whenever I’ve introduced him, he’s had a major impact and changed the game."

Bristol City 2-2 Middlesbrough

Bristol City manager Gary Johnson says his side are confident of overturning Middlesbrough after a 2-2 draw secured an FA Cup Fourth Round replay at the Riverside.

Goals from Richard Keogh and Scott Murray saw the League One side come back from a 2-0 deficit at half-time to stretch their unbeaten run to 18 games.

Johnson said: "We feel we’ve got a chance in the replay. We certainly won’t be going there to make up the numbers.

"We’ve got a team that can play football. The boys got on the ball today and played it around - and we hope we can carry that on."

Fulham 3-0 Stoke City

Fulham manager Chris Coleman praised on-loan striker Vincenzo Montella, who scored his fourth goal in three games in a 3-0 win against Stoke City.

Coleman beamed: "He is quality - and he showed that with his running off the ball and by the way he linked up with Brian McBride.

"I spoke to him earlier in the season and he said he watched all the Premiership games and thought this was the best league in the world.

"He was kept out of the team at Roma by Francesco Totti so he wanted to come here and play games."

West Ham 0-1 Watford

Watford boss Adrian Boothroyd was delighted with a 1-0 victory at Upton Park - his side’s second win in a week after overturning Blackburn Rovers in the Premiership.

Boothroyd commented: "It’s nice to get a bit of momentum. The lads dug in and we’ve got to maintain that now.

"I thought we were solid, but we’ve got to come back here in a couple of weeks and get a win in the league."

Meanwhile, West Ham manager Alan Curbishley was left to rue his luck after debutant Lucas Neill limped off with an ankle injury.

"It sums up what’s happened since I’ve been at the club," said Curbishley.

"We’ve never really had a settled side, especially at the back, so it was a real blow to lose Lucas Neill in his first game."

Manchester United 2-1 Portsmouth

Manchester United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz was left drooling after his side's win against Portsmouth.

He said: "I don’t know which was the better goal – Wayne Rooney’s second or the Henrik Larsson goal which was disallowed.

"We wanted to rest Wayne, but when he was needed he did exactly what was asked of him. He changed the game for us and his goals recently will have given him the lift that he has needed.

"It was a fantastic performance against a well-organised team. We got the balance right between keeping it tight in defence and taking risks going forward."

Chelsea 3-0 Nottingham Forest

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho said The Blues' first half performance was enough to win the tie with Nottingham Forest.

"We killed off the game in the first half and by the second half the game was over.

"I brought on the kids towards the end because of our good position."

However, his opposite number Colin Calderwood was far from impressed with his League One outfit.

"It was a dream tie and we played in a dream - we were ineffective.

"We didn't show any of our ability in the first half.

"If you get through the opening period that's OK, but to come here and play below par wasn't good."

Arsenal 1-1 Bolton Wanderers

Kevin Nolan said: "I think we played really well in the first half (of the second half) but they came back in the last 15. We played really well in the first 10-15 minutes but after that we sat back.

"Fair play to them, they are a really good side. We are absolutely delighted with the result but it is not over yet.''

Nolan had a chance to score a second soon after his opener but Manuel Almunia came out to block him.

"It was a great save by him but I'm disappointed on my behalf,'' the Wanderers skipper added. "I thought I could go round him and put it in.''

Team-mate Gary Speed was disappointed the visitors could not hold on.

The Welsh midfielder said: "They put us under pressure when we were 1-0 up but you expect that.

"We probably scored a bit early in the second half. We did well to hold out but are a bit disappointed to concede from a set-piece.''
