Phil Jevons is on his way to The FA Cup Final after topping the Player of the Second Round poll.
The Bristol City forward scooped 51 per cent of the 8,160 votes cast - more than double the amount the four other nominees received.
Jevons, an FA Youth Cup winner with Everton in 1998, cracked a first half hat-trick against Gillingham to see City through to the Third Round.
The hotshot's first goal came on 21 minutes, a curling shot into the top corner after Cole Skuse had picked him out perfectly.
His second goal, on 44 minutes, was from ten yards and the treble was complete a minute later with a clinical finish after Alex Russell's break.
His one-man show won the nomination of The Times' Walter Gammie.
Hereford's Rob Purdie, whose brace helped his side to a 4-0 win over Port Vale, came second in the poll with 21 per cent followed by Danny Crow, Stuart Searle and Jason Puncheon.
Jevon's prize, courtesy of E.ON, is a VIP place for him and a guest at the 2007 FA Cup Final, as well as £500 of football equipment to donate to a local school of his choice and a silver salver.
Jevons is the sixth winner of the Player of the Round this season following Kris Commons (Nottingham Forest), Paul Booth (Lewes), Byron Bubb (AFC Wimbledon), Gary McPhee (Nuneaton Borough) and Matt Lewis (Halesowen Town).
