Player of the Round



Leading energy company and new sponsor of The FA Cup, E.ON, will be also taking over the sponsorship of The FA Cup Player of the Round Award.

The award is presented to the outstanding player of each round of The FA Cup starting from First Qualifying Round which took place on 16 September - and you will be able to vote for your choice in a poll on TheFA.com homepage.

The winner of each award will be presented with a solid silver salver along with a kit bag of schools training equipment which he can donate to a local school of his choice.

A select panel of judges including E.ON’s Managing Director, Retail, Nick Horler will forward their selections each round to create a shortlist which is put on the FA website where fans can vote for their winner.

Player of the Round winners will also receive VIP hospitality for themselves and their guest at The FA Cup Final on Saturday 19 May 2007.

This year's other panelists will be: Mark Clemmit (BBC Radio Five), Walter Gammie (The Times), Ricky George (Daily Telegraph) and David Watters (Editor, The Non League Paper)
