Blackpool Mechanics 2-0 Armthorpe Welfare

The decision of the sub committee is that from the evidence given, Blackpool Mechanics played Craig Worthington in the above tie whilst under suspension and the player was therefore ineligible.

Blackpool Mechanics are now removed from the competition for a breach of Competition Rule 15(d) and Armthorpe Welfare are re-instated.

It was further decided that removal from the competition is considered sufficient punishment and that no fine is imposed on Blackpool Mechanics.

The £500 prize fund payment is awarded to Armthorpe Welfare. No order made as to costs.

In the Preliminary Round, Armthorpe Welfare will now play away at Maine Road on Saturday 2 September 2006.

Note:

Blackpool Mechanics play in the 2nd Division of the North West Counties League. Armthorpe Welfare play in the Premier Division of the Northern Counties East League. Maine Road play in the 1st Division of the North West Counties League. Craig Worthington scored the 2nd goal in the 52nd minute.
