VIDEO: Giggs v Arsenal

Ryan Giggs scores the last ever FA Cup Semi-Final replay goal - and what a goal it was.

Ahead of Saturday's FA Cup Final we reveal the lineup of The FA Cup 'Team of Heroes' as voted for by you the fans. The competition began to commemorate the incredible contribution of the players in 125 years - and after more than 10,000 votes we have our team.

With six FA Cup Final appearances - and four winners medals - it is not surprising that Ryan Giggs has been voted into the team.

The Manchester United winger won the trophy in 1994, 1996, 1999 and 2004 to secure his place as one of the most successful FA Cup players in the modern era, although there were also disappointments in 1995 and 2005.

As well as all that, Giggs scored possibly the greatest ever FA Cup goal when his stunning solo effort sealed an amazing win over arch-rivals Arsenal in the 1999 semi-final.

The midfielder picked up the ball in his own half after a mis-placed pass from Patrick Vieira and set off on a powerful run which saw him slalom past three Gunners defenders before unleashing an unstoppable shot into the roof of David Seaman's net from a tight angle.

The Welshman's first taste of Cup glory came at the age of just 20 when he was part of the United team who beat Chelsea 4-0 in a one-sided Final.

A year later, Giggs was on the losing side as Everton caused a shock with a 1-0 win, but he was back in 1996 to help the Red Devils clinch the League and Cup Double with a victory over Liverpool at Wembley.

His FA Cup hat-trick came in 1999 - after that wonderful semi-final goal - as United beat Newcastle 2-0 for the second trophy in their famous Treble season and there was yet another winners medal to come in 2004 as underdogs Millwall were swept aside 3-0.

Giggs would have equalled the all-time FA Cup record of five wins in The Final had United beaten Arsenal in 2005. However, the Gunners delivered only his second defeat in the showpiece game as they lifted the trophy following a penalty shoot-out.

However, that does not diminish from his superb contribution to the competition down the years, with United fans hoping there is still more to come from their wonderful Welsh winger.
