Saturday's thrilling FA Cup Final was the most-watched sporting event of the year so far, proving The Cup is still as popular as ever.
According to BBC's unofficial figures, as many as 11.3m tuned in to watch Liverpool's dramatic penalty shoot-out victory against West Ham. A further 700,000 watched the game - arguably the best Final in history - on Sky TV.
West Ham, the underdogs, looked set to win The Cup for the first time in 26 years until Steven Gerrard slammed home a stunning equaliser from 30 yards in the 90th minute to take the game into extra-time.
Neither side could break the deadlock during the additional 30 minutes meaning the game would be decided on penalties. Liverpool keeper Jose Reina, at fault for West Ham's second goal, redeemed himself with three super saves in the shoot-out to hand Liverpool victory.
Earlier, West Ham had gone into a 2-0 lead thanks to a Jamie Carragher own goal and a Dean Ashton tap-in.
Liverpool responded through Djibril Cisse and Gerrard but West Ham were just moments away from lifting The Cup courtesy of Paul Konchesky's looping cross which deceived Reina. Gerrard, however, had other ideas.
