Ahead of Saturday's FA Cup Final we reveal the lineup of The FA Cup 'Team of Heroes' as voted for by you the fans. The competition began to commemorate the incredible contribution of the players in 125 years - and after more than 10,000 votes we have our team.

Our search began in earnest in December and gave the top 125 ranked FA Cup clubs their chance to nominate their five Cup legends - one keeper, one defender, one midfielder, one forward and a manager

From the nominations our panel of specialists narrowed them down to a shortlist of 125 - with 25 for each position. We then put it down to you, the fans.

You voted for your own Team of Heroes from our final list in a 4-3-3 formation and now it is time for all those who voted to find out if their choice matches that of the the overall poll.

Tony Adams is one of the greatest players ever to grace an Arsenal shirt. And now you have voted him as one of the finest defenders in FA Cup history as well.

The never-say-die former England defender is Arsenal's most successful ever captain, winning nine trophies - including three FA Cups.

He made his Arsenal debut back in 1983 against Sunderland and became the club's youngest ever captain in 1988, a position he would retain for 14 years.

He played 669 times for Arsenal during a 22-year playing career. Along the way he picked up 66 England caps scoring five international goals.

The final trophy tally for Adams was four league titles with Arsenal, three FA Cups, one League Cup and a European Cup Winners Cup.

His first triumph in The FA Cup came in 1993 when Arsenal dramatically overcame Sheffield Wednesday.

After a 1-1 draw in, the replay looked to be heading for the first ever Cup Final penalty shoot out until Adams' defensive partner Andy Linighan popped up to head in an injury-time winner.

It took another five years for Adams to taste success in the competition again, when Arsenal completed the League and Cup double in the 1997/98 season.

After wrapping up the Premiership title, Arsenal comfortably beat Newcastle 2-0 at Wembley thanks to goals from Mark Overmars and Nicolas Anelka.

However, there was an FA Cup moment Adams would want to forget in the first Final at the Millennium Stadium in 2001.

Arsenal were leading Liverpool 1-0 and in total control when Michael Owen stole in with two late strikes to break the hearts of the Gunners.

However, just 12 months later Adams held the trophy aloft for the third time in his career as Arsenal completed another double with a 2-0 victory over London rivals Chelsea.

It was his last ever game in an Arsenal shirt and goals from Ray Parlour and Freddie Ljungberg meant it was a victorious one.
