Steven Gerrard could not hide his delight after scoring two goals in his man of the match performance against West Ham.
The England and Liverpool midfielder scored with two spectacular strikes and converted a penalty to guide his side to victory in the 125th FA Cup Final.
The Liverpool captain said it was his "dream day" after one of the most entertaining Cup Finals in recent history.
Gerrard said: "It is a very special. It is a dream day for me to score two goals and lift The FA Cup in front of the Liverpool fans.
"West Ham were brilliant today and gave us a real game and we both had that never say die attitude.
"But we always knew that when it went to penalties we had the better goalkeeper."
