Port Vale 1-1 Bristol Rovers
The FA Cup, Second Round Proper
Saturday 03 December 2005

Both Port Vale and Bristol Rovers will have their names in the potentially lucrative Third Round pot after a hard fought draw at Vale Park.
After a defensive battle between the two sides in the first half, Bristol pulled ahead ten minutes into the second period with a strong finish from 12 yards out by Alistair Gibb.
That goal had looked like giving Bristol a vital away win in the competition and an early place in the Third Round, but their perfect Friday night was denied just four minutes from time.
With a fine cross from Mark Innes Port Vale's Leon Constantine was able to strike his side level with very little time left.
It was a bitter blow for Bristol but they will now take Port Vale back to the Memorial Stadium where they will look to make it into the all important Third Round draw.
