Tuck, whose Fourth Round Qualifying heroics helped his side reach The FA Cup First Round Proper for the first time in their history, has seen thousands of fans voting for him all week in an online poll.

Tuck polled 34 per cent of the 15,421 votes cast in our online poll, beating Woking’s Steve Ferguson (30%), Worcester City’s Danny McDonnell (19%), Harrogate Town’s Paul Stoneman (12%) and Chasetown’s Lee Bullimore (5%).

Tuck’s outstanding contribution to the game ensured that Eastbourne Borough are the only non-league FA Cup survivor from Sussex and are preparing to face Oxford United in their next tie.

Eastbourne Borough’s Secretary Mike Spooner was full of praise for Tuck: “Stuart is a fantastic captain and really motivates the team into playing their best.

"We can always rely on him to give 110% at every game and I’m sure that will be the same in the next round.”

In addition to being crowned FA Cup Player of the Round, Tuck has become the fourth player to join the Team of The FA Cup, which guarantees attendance at The FA Cup final and a half-time introduction to the crowd.

Tuck has also won £1000 worth of UMBRO football kit for a local school, club or organisation of his choice.

The Team of The FA Cup comprises Player of the Round winners from the First Qualifying Round to the Semi Final. Tuck joins this season's line-up with Gosport Borough’s Jamie Laidlaw, Northwich Victoria’s Paul Brayson and Leamington’s Alex Rodman.
