Liverpool won The FA Cup for the first time 40 years ago after a 2-1 extra-time win over Don Revie's Leeds United.
The Merseysiders went into the lead three minutes into the extra period through Roger Hunt but two minutes later Leeds captain Billy Bremner finished a superb move in emphatic fashion.
However it wasn't to be for Bremner and Leeds as Bremner's Scottish international teammate Ian St.John clinched the match with seven minutes remaining.
Bremner is a legend at Elland Road and is considered by many to be the Yorkshire club's greatest ever player.
The Stirling-born midfielder made his debut for the club as a fresh-faced 17-year-old in January 1960.
In all, Bremner made 586 league appearances for Leeds, scoring 90 goals whilst for Scotland, Bremner scored three times in 54 matches.
