Vieira, who missed last season's Final due to injury, helped the Gunners beat Blackburn Rovers 3-0 in the Semi-Final at the Millennium Stadium.

He is now in line to face either Newcastle or Manchester United when Arsenal return to Cardiff on 21 May.

"I am really pleased and we are all happy to get through to the Final," said Vieira.

"After we scored the first goal we really controlled the game to the end and I think we deserved to get through.

"We played well and responded positively because there were some strong challenges, but we proved just how tough we are.

"We were expecting that sort of a game. We had a difficult match when we played in Blackburn, so we knew how it was going to be. But we kept the ball and just tried to play our own game."

The Frenchman said that he would be happy to face either Newcastle or Manchester United in the Final.

"We don't have a preference. When you reach the final of a competition you are happy to play against any team. We will watch the game tomorrow and just see who we are going to face," he added.
