Cole helped the Gunners beat Blackburn 3-0 at Cardiff to guarantee a place in the Final - and already he is thinking about Wednesday's Premiership match at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are well ahead in the title race but Arsenal want to finish the season on a high by winning The FA Cup and making their big rivals sweat just a little bit during the run-in.

Cole said: "It’s a big lift for us now we have something to aim for by reaching The FA Cup Final. It’s not going to be a wasted season and hopefully we can win it. It would be great for me to win another medal and if I could do it I would be delighted.

"We’ve had a great run of results lately, things are going well, and we’ve still got five or six matches left to take that second spot in the league as well."

Arsenal go into next week's match at Chelsea with seven clean sheets in eight games and full of confidence.

Cole said: "Knowing that we’re in The Final means we can look forward to Wednesday. It will be a tough game but we don’t want to lose to anyone, let alone Chelsea. We are never going to give up, that’s for sure, we will keep trying to win matches If Chelsea lose games then so be it.

"It’s hard to see them losing too many games and then for us to win the title. But we’ll keep going."
