The two Manchester United stars look set to play in this season's showpiece occasion when the Old Trafford club take on Arsenal for the last chance of any silverware this term.

Only three previous players have achieved the feat of winning The Cup five times but no-one has managed it since the 19th century, when Blackburn Rovers’ Jimmy Forrest became the last man to do it after Rovers beat Notts County 3-1 in 1891.

That victory saw him match the record of Arthur Kinnaird (Wanderers & Old Etonians) and Charles Wollaston (Wanderers).

Kinnaird will, however, continue to lead the way in terms of FA Cup Final appearances having played in nine Finals.

Manchester United captain Keane is due to play in his seventh Final on Saturday whilst Giggs will play in his sixth.

Two of their teammates - Paul Scholes and Gary Neville - are close behind in both record wins and record appearances in a Final. They are scheduled for their fifth Finals and both have three winners’ medals.
