Arsenal v Wolverhampton Wanderers
The FA Cup, Fourth Round
Highbury, London
29 January 2005

Lee Naylor is desperate to make up for past FA Cup disappointment by getting a shock win at Arsenal on Saturday.

The Wolves midfielder was a teenager when the two side's met in The FA Cup Semi-Final six years ago, and he was devastated when he found out he was not in the starting line-up.

The then 17-year-old had been involved in all matches in the build up to the game but had to watch from the stands as Wolves were beaten 1-0.

He said: I was absolutely gutted to be left out last time. If you had told me at the start of that season that I would be on the bench for The FA Cup Semi-Final I would have laughed at you.

"But I played and scored in the fourth round replay against Charlton, and played in the games against Wimbledon and Leeds.

"But on the night before the game the gaffer told me I would not be involved and I was devastated."

And now Naylor wants to make up for lost time by helping Wolves upset the Premiership champions.

He added: "Stoke ran them very close in the last round and perhaps we can go one better. Whatever happens it's going to be very difficult.

"The boys are very excited about this game and I'm sure the fans are too."
