The FA have organised for The FA Cup trophy to be on display at the club between 12.30 and 2.45pm, with supporters of all ages invited to bring their cameras and have their photos taken with the world famous Cup.

Prior to kick off, David Fowkes, Secretary of the London FA and Baroness McDonagh of Mitcham and Morden (and a big AFC fan) will present midfielder Rob Ursell with his FA Cup Player of the Round Award, after his hat-trick heroics in the previous round.

Rob’s performance and the backing from his supporters saw him poll 67% of 11,700 votes on TheFA.com, earning him an engraved silver salver, £1000 of UMBRO kit and equipment to donate to a local club or school and a VIP trip to the Millennium Stadium in May at the 2005 FA Cup Final.

Steve Clark, The FA’s Competitions Secretary said: “As well as the individual performance of Rob, AFC Wimbledon have already progressed through three rounds of the competition, netting themselves £7,000 from The FA Cup Prize Fund.

“Victory on Saturday would bring the winners £5,000 from The FA Cup Prize Fund, but more importantly will take them just one game away from the First Round Proper.”

Trevor Williams, Club Secretary of AFC Wimbledon said: “This is a fantastic gesture by The FA, and for the fans who have been coming to watch our team, particularly the younger ones, a wonderful opportunity to see The FA Cup.

“The FA has agreed that both teams can be pictured on the pitch with the trophy ahead of Saturday’s game, an opportunity I’m sure the players will treasure throughout their careers, and then we will be doing our upmost to get through to the next round.”

The FA Cup will be at Kingsmeadow Stadium, Kingston Road between 12.30 and 2.45pm on Saturday 16 October, ahead of The FA Cup Third Qualifying tie against Thurrock FC. Kick Off is 3pm.
