Former Watford star Smith settled his new club Sunderland's tie after only 15 minutes. He controlled the ball instantly with his right foot and, switching to his left, blazed an unstoppable drive past Sheffield United 'keeper Paddy Kenny.

With this, his fourth FA Cup goal of the season, Smith gets his belated crack at a Semi-Final appearance after being dropped by Watford for their Semi-Final against Southampton in last season's competition.

Achterberg was the hero of the hour for Tranmere Rovers, as they grabbed a 0-0 draw away to First Division Millwall yesterday afternoon. The big Dutchman made a number of world-class saves, including a brilliant penalty stop, to earn the Second Division outfit another shot against the Lions.

On Saturday, Freddie Ljungberg scored twice in Arsenal’s 5-1 demolition of Portsmouth at Fratton Park. Though the entire Arsenal team played wonderfully well, the Swede's classy passing and supreme off-the-ball running were particularly instrumental to the Gunners' success.

The FA now wants fans to decide the overall winner by voting on-line here at TheFA.com and votes must be cast before 5.00pm on Friday, 12th March. Fans clicking on their chosen "Player of the Round" now also have the chance to win tickets to The FA Cup's Semi-Final Round.

A winner will be drawn from all the entries to receive two tickets for a Semi-Final tie.

The "Player of the Round" himself will win £1,500 worth of UMBRO football kit and equipment for the local school, club or organisation of his choice. He will also receive an UMBRO gift of kit player package including XAI boots and training apparel as well as an engraved salver.

The winner of the award will join the previous nine winners of the draw. Jose Antonio Reyes, the winner of the award for the Fifth Round, donated his award to Utrera FC, a small village side based just outside Reyes' home town of Seville.

"I am honoured to have won the FA Cup Player of the Round for my performance against Chelsea. The two goals I scored are very special to me.

"Most importantly, as they ensured that we qualified for the next round of the FA Cup, but also because they were my first goals I scored for Arsenal.

"The Chelsea match is something that I will never forget and I hope that I can help Arsenal to progress in the FA Cup this year."

Elite members of this team will be afforded The FA VIP treatment at this year’s FA Cup Final and will be ho
noured on the pitch before the crowd in Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
