Dave Mangnall was Millwall's hero in 1936/37.
We meet again...
Wednesday, 17 March 2004.
Millwall may have made it through to The FA Cup Semi-Finals for the first time since 1937 but they'll face familiar opponents in their final four match.
Dennis Wise's team booked their place in the semis after a 2-1 win over Tranmere Rovers in last night's Sixth Round replay and they will now face fellow First Division side Sunderland for a place in the Final.
And it may be 67 years since their last crack at an FA Cup Final but back in 1936/37 guess who Millwall faced in the semis...... Sunderland!
Dave Mangnall, who had been the Lions' goalscoring hero in their Cup run, scored his tenth Cup goal of the seaon but that wasn't enough for the London side.
Sunderland scored through Gurney and Gallacher as the First Division side beat their Third Division (South) opponents 2-1 at Leeds Road, Huddersfield.
