A wonderful night saw Scarborough book their place against Chelsea courtesy of Mark Quayle's late winner against Southend. Hero Quayle got the winner only eight minutes from time.

"I've never played in the Fourth Round before, and to score the winner which gets us there is a delightful feeling," he admitted after the match. "Chelsea are coming here now and that is the magic of the cup - it's going to be great just being on the same pitch with players like that.

"I think we played the better, controlled football in the first game, perhaps the atmosphere got to us this time. But it's a fantastic result and gives us our cup final. This was the semi, with the carrot of Chelsea at home.

"We focused on the game and knew if we went out we had done well bringing revenue into the club. But, players don't see the revenue, this game was the highlight of a lot of the players' careers."

The non-leaguers now meet London giants Chelsea who were in imperious form, beating Watford 4-0 in their own replay. All the goals were wonderful strikes and Romanian Adrian Mutu showed that he has well and truly rediscovered his touch, notching a brace. Watford started strongly and bow out having contributed greatly to this year's competition having reached the Semi-Finals last year.

Chelsea will be one of the big favourites to lift the trophy at the Millennium this May. They have appeared in four of the last ten Finals, winning in 1997 and 2000 and losing in 1994 and 2002. This season’s enhanced team undoubtedly have the quality to go all the way.

Manchester City will join the Blues in the hat following their 3-1 win over fellow top flight side Leicester City. Anelka brought cheer to Kevin Keegan, getting City's vital second goal on the night after veteran marksman Les Ferdinand had levelled the scores with a free-kick.

Keegan was delighted with the Frenchman, saying: "He chased down that throw-in and showed how quick he is.

"His pace is his greatest asset. He had no right to get there but he made it into a goal.

"That just emphasises what a good player he is."
