Fans have been voting in their tens of thousands to decide who was the best player out of the three nominees - Cheyrou, Roger Freestone and Robbie Blake.

Cheyrou of course scored both Liverpool's goals on Saturday evening against Newcastle United, and after a quiet start to his Anfield career, is beginning to become an integral part of Gerard Houllier's midfield.

In second place currently is Swansea City's elder statesman Roger Freestone on 32%. Whilst striker Lee Trundle - who won the Player of the Round Award in Round Three - picked up the media plaudits for his winning goal on Saturday that dispatched First Division Preston from the competition, Freestone was performing acrobatics in the Swansea goal, including a vital block in the dying minutes to ensure that Swansea went into the Fifth Round.

Currently in third place on 23% of votes cast is Burnley Striker Robbie Blake. The £1million man scored twice on Saturday to take Burnley into the Fifth Round, as the Lancashire club with a proud FA Cup tradition overcame Gillingham at Turf Moor 3-1.

If you want your 'Player of the Round' to win an engraved silver salver and pair of UMBRO XAI boots, as well as £1500 of UMBRO kit and equipment to donate to a club or school of his choice, vote below.

There is also the added incentive for voters who leave their contact details to win two tickets for a Fifth Round tie of their choice. The winning player, and voter will be announced on TheFA.com between 5-6pm on Friday 30th January.
