On The FA Cup Trail...

Slough Town 1 HARROGATE RAILWAY 2

FA Cup 1st Round, Saturday November 16
Harrogate Railway win £20,000 and will be at home to Bristol City in the FA Cup second round

Unfortunately for Slough, the curse of TheFA.com trail struck again on Saturday. For the fourth round in a row, our featured team were knocked out - so Bristol City should now be certs to see off Harrogate Railway in the second round!

At half-time it didn't seem as if Slough would go the same way as Three Bridges, Aveley and Canvey Island with Byron Bubb scoring with a 20-yard free-kick. But this was the biggest match in the history of Harrogate Railway of the Northern Counties East Premier Division - and they launched a tremendous fightback in the second half.

Kevin Smith levelled from Ian McLean's free-kick and just past the hour, Steve Davey scored his side's historic winner. Again, McLean did the damage, slicing open the Slough defence for Davey to head home from close range.

Wonder what the guys at Wernham Hogg will make of it all!
