The FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round,
Saturday August 24
TheFA.com's attentions will switch to Sussex League Three Bridges this weekend after they hit four goals in the final 10 minutes at Greenwich on Saturday.
Bridges will now meet Alton or Didcot in the Preliminary Round this weekend; those two teams drew 1-1 and face a midweek replay.
Greenwich, who had conceded 11 goals in their opening two Kent League fixtures of the season, led 1-0 at the interval when a throw into a crowded penalty area led to Dave Smith heading in at the far post
Three Bridges put on two subs at the interval and turned the screw in the second half, but left it late before making their comeback.
It was as late as the 80th minute when they equalised, Borough 'keeper Pat Brown saving a free-kick and Daniel Punt firing in the rebound from the edge of the area.
That opened the floodgates. In the 84th minute, Pat Massaro picked up a loose ball and shot home to give the visitors the advantage.
With Boro chasing the game, Bridges then scored twice more in injury-time. Sean Campbell scored from the edge of the box and then Massaro lobbed in a fourth just before the final whistle.
THREE BRIDGES will face Alton Town or Didcot Town in the FA Cup Preliminary round this Saturday. The FA.Com will spotlight Three Bridges later this week
