Portsmouth captain Sol Campbell told TheFA.com about the unbelievable feeling he had after winning The FA Cup for the third time.

Campbell, who collected medals with Arsenal in 2002 and 2005, raised The FA Cup aloft at Wembley on Saturday, much to the delight of the passionate Pompey support.

And Campbell also hailed team-mate Kanu, whose brilliance opened up a chance to go one-nil up before the Nigerian hit the outside of the post from close range.

However, Kanu was where it mattered on 37 minutes to prod home the ball to win The Cup for Portsmouth.

Campbell said: "To win The FA Cup anytime as brilliant, it's the biggest Cup competition worldwide. You never know when it comes round again, it's a fantastic feeling.

"Both crowds are passionate about their clubs and you could hear them cheering their sides on, but it's great. It's obviously a fantastic stadium, it's great to play in and great to win.

"I know, I know, it's just hit the post, maybe he lost a little bit of concentration but he made up afterwards."

He added: "I was ecstatic, it's unbelievable. It's fantastic for the club, everyone connected with Portsmouth. The last three or four games weren't going so well but we've made up for it today and won The Cup."
