It's only days away now, and to whet your appetite for the curtain raiser at Cardiff's Millenium stadium on Sunday we bring you the highlights from the last meeting between Liverpool and Chelsea.
It was a titanic struggle between two teams at the top of their game, played in front of 64,000 passionate fans willing their side to victory. John Arne Riise drew first blood in the match with a cunningly guided free-kick past Carlo Cudicini in the Chelsea goal.
Chelsea came out firing in the second period as they looked to claw their way back into the game, only for their captain John Terry's header to be ruled out for a push on Riise just moments after the restart.
Liverpool then counter-attacked with clinical effectiveness, and the result was a majestical strike from Luis Garcia doubling their lead and sending the red half of Old Trafford into delirium.
As with all great sides though Chelsea showed that they are never down and out of any contest, hitting back through Didier Drogba with 20 minutes still remaining on the clock. It was a nervy finale for Liverpool as they clung on to reach their first FA Cup Final in five years - particularly when Joe Cole spurned a golden opportunity with virtually the last kick of the game.
