Dennis Wise led Millwall all the way to The FA Cup Final in 2004 and believes that anything is possible.

The former England and Chelsea midfielder beat all the odds to take the Lions through the rounds and into the Cardiff showpiece, where they met Manchester United.

And despite a 3-0 defeat for the south Londoners in The Final, it was enough to take Millwall into Europe and win Wise an impromptu bet with his Chairman.

He told FATV: "I remember when I was at Millwall, we drew Burnley in the Fifth Round and I said to Theo Paphitis at the time that there was a chance we could get in Europe here.

"He thought I was mad and said that he'd strip and run around Westminster naked if we did, so I said I'd keep him to that.

"We actually won the game (and the Sixth Round tie against Tranmere Rovers) and there was four teams left in the hat, us, Sunderland, Arsenal and Man United.

"We got the draw we needed, which was Sunderland and we were fortunate enough to win and get to The Final.

"Whatever happened in The Final, we would be in Europe which was very nice.”

And what about Dragons’ Den star Paphitis and his bet?

Wise revealed: "Theo got out of it because he decided to contribute some money towards charity instead of running around Westminster.

"So I let him off!”

Millwall take on Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers at the Den on Sunday afternoon, knowing that the winners will be heading to Wembley for the Semi-Final.

And even though Wise thinks it will be tough for the Lions to repeat the run of 2004, he still feels Kenny Jackett’s side can beat the Lancashire outfit

"I don’t think they'll go all the way, but I do rate their chances of getting a result against Blackburn,” he added.

"But with the other teams who are left in there, it will be very difficult for them.

"But sometimes it goes on who you get in the draw.”
