Scott Dann says Blackburn will be ready for Wednesday's FA Cup replay with Millwall, after playing through the pain barrier at the Den.

The Rovers captain led by example in Sunday's tie in south London, picking up eight stitches in a head wound during the first half as Blackburn were made to battle.

They may not have mustered any shots on target during the 90 minutes, but with home advantage on Wednesday they are hoping it will be a different game.

And Dann has no complaints about Millwall's physical approach in the first tie, given the prize of a Semi-Final spot is on offer for the winners.

The former Coventry and Birmingham defender said: "I'm alright, it's a little scratch. You get them along the way so I'll just get on with it.

"It was a tough game physically and we didn't expect anything less.

"We knew that was the way it was going to be down there and, with it being The FA Cup, we knew that we'd have to be up to the challenge.

"They had maybe the best chance of the game but we're still in The Cup and we've got a home tie to look forward to."

Having got through the 'ugly' part of the tie, the 26-year-old and his team-mates are now hoping the replay will be played on their own terms at Ewood Park.

Despite Rovers having already lost once to Millwall on their own patch this season, under new boss Michael Appleton there is a real belief about the squad.

And after showing their courage at the Den, Dann now wants to see Rovers making Millwall work hard to stay in the competition.

He added: "That was one of the biggest things we took from the game, we knew it was going to be a battle and it was going to be high-tempo and in-your-face.

"Maybe we didn't get the ball down and play the way we would have liked to for the majority of the game.

"Coming back to Ewood Park, having a home tie and a home crowd behind us, we'll be looking more to play our own style and hopefully that'll be enough to get us through to the Semi-Finals."
