Stoke City midfielder Glenn Whelan is expecting a tough test against Crystal Palace in this weekend’s FA Cup with Budweiser Third Round tie.
The Potters travel to Selhurst Park to take on Ian Holloway’s Championship high-fliers and the Republic of Ireland international has urged his team-mates to bounce back from Tuesday’s 3-0 Premier League defeat to Manchester City.
Whelan told Stoke’s official website: “Obviously, we’re disappointed at the moment, but we’ll have to lift ourselves up when we’re back in training because we’ve got a tough game in The FA Cup on Saturday.
“It will be a tricky one. [Crystal Palace are] flying in the Championship and doing really well, and they’ve got some young, exciting, talented players that we need to be wary of.”
