Dagenham rapper to perform FA Cup anthem contender live at Stoke City v Manchester City

The search for the official FA Cup anthem steps up a gear this weekend as grime artist Devlin performs live at Stoke City’s Fourth Round tie with Manchester City.

MOBO-award-winning rapper Lethal Bizzle – cousin of Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong – had his chance to shine when he boomed out his track 'Not A Saint' ahead of the Third Round tie between West Ham United and Manchester United at Upton Park.

Now it’s Devlin’s turn to put his song in the frame at the Britannia Stadium at lunchtime on Saturday.

“The FA Cup is always the competition you get excited about it, and I think half the country stops what they’re doing when the draw is being made,” said the Dagenham rapper.

“I’m buzzing to be a part of it and can’t wait for the game.”

A six-strong shortlist of some of the UK’s biggest music acts are battling it out to produce the soundtrack to the world’s oldest domestic football competition, with the winner to be chosen by the British public ahead of The FA Cup Final.

The winning tune will welcome the players as they step on to the Wembley turf for The Final on 11 May 2013.

Fans will be able to vote for their favourite here on TheFA.com during the build-up to The Final.
