Devlin became the latest pop star to launch his FA Cup Anthem at the Britannia Stadium

Devlin said his moment on the pitch at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday had his 'heart beating' and is now hoping for a Wembley appearance in May.

The rapper was the latest artist to launch his bid to win The FA Cup Anthem, by performing before the Fourth Round tie between Stoke City and Manchester City

Dagenham-based Devlin gave the crowd a rendition of his track 'Sun Goes Down' which is one of the grime star's personal favourites from his latest album 'A Moving Picture'.

And the 23-year-old, who made his name performing at grime concerts in intimate London venues, admits that it was one of his toughest gigs yet.

He told FATV: "It was different, playing in the middle of the pitch, that's nerve-wracking.

"I've done a lot of gigs over the years, but that definitely had the heart beating.

"But thanks to everyone who made some noise for me, I appreciate it very much."

Devlin's display follows on from that of Lethal Bizzle, who performed at Upton Park before the Third Round clash between West Ham United and Manchester United.

A six-strong shortlist of some of the UK’s biggest music acts are battling it out to produce the soundtrack to the world’s oldest domestic football competition, with the winner to be chosen by the British public ahead of The FA Cup Final.

The winning tune will welcome the players as they step on to the Wembley turf for The Final on 11 May 2013.

Fans will be able to vote for their favourite here on TheFA.com during the build-up to The Final.
