David Forde is hoping that Millwall can avoid being the victims of an FA Cup upset on Saturday, when they face non-League Luton Town.

The Lions provided the first shock of the Fourth Round, when they beat Aston Villa at the Den before Luton travelled to Norwich City and upset the Premier League side with a 1-0 victory.

And now the Irish goalkeeper, who once had a loan spell at Kenilworth Road, is urging his team-mates to be ready for a tough game at Luton who will become the first non-League team in 99 years to reach the last eight should they beat Millwall.

Forde said: "They have turned over two sides in the competition already and will think they can have another shock.

"So we have got to be on our game and it's going to make for an exciting tie.

"I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Luton and am very much looking forward to going back.

"But if we get a win, all of a sudden we're in the quarter finals and with the luck of the draw, you never know.”

Millwall still have relatively fresh memories of a good FA Cup run, after reaching The Final in 2006, losing to Manchester United at the Millennium Stadium.

They are now just two ties away from a Wembley Semi-Final and after seeing the Den atmosphere at its most lively against Villa, the 33-year-old is hoping to sample that again.

He added: "It was a fantastic occasion that saw us get through to the Fifth Round and Saturday is going to be a big game for Luton as well.”
