Manchester City eased through to the quarter finals of The FA Cup with a one-sided victory over Leeds United.
Blues boss Roberto Mancini was given the perfect response to his side's disappointing performance at Southampton in the Premier League last week as they tore apart the Championship side.
Yaya Toure, Sergio Aguero (2) and Carlos Tevez got the goals but it could have been a lot more in an utterly dominant performance.
After a run of upsets in The FA Cup, including Leeds' shock win over Tottenham in the Fourth Round, Mancini named a strong line-up in his bid to win the competition, which could realistically be City's only chance of silverware this season.
And they were ahead inside five minutes with a beautifully crafted goal from Toure, who exchanged passes with David Silva and Tevez, before he took the ball around Jamie Ashdown for a simple finish.
Silva and Tevez were inches off target before City doubled their lead ten minutes later when Aguero terrorised the Leeds defence only to be pulled back by Tom Lees and the Argentine finished from the spot himself.
City threatened to run riot but Ashdown made smart saves from Toure and Aleksandar Kolarov while Javi Garcia was inches away with a header.
The visitors clung on until half-time and City's stand-in goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon even got a touch of the ball in the final minute of the first half when he palmed away Ross McCormack's free-kick.
But the third came five minutes into the second half when Aguero waltzed through the Leeds defence, exchanging passes with Silva before teeing up Tevez to volley in from a yard out.
Substitute Jack Rodwell headed against the bar from close range before the rout was complete in the 75th minute as Aguero ran onto Silva's throughball and clipped a shot in off the post.
