Slough Town booked their place in The FA Cup Third Round Qualifying in blistering fashion as they brushed aside Eastbourne Town 5-1 at Holloways Road.
Midfielder Adam Logie broke the deadlock after 18 minutes with a superb volley from the edge of the box, and Stuart Swift doubled his side’s lead shortly afterwards with a curled free-kick.
Striker Danny Burnell prodded home from close-range on the stroke of half-time to put the result beyond doubt before the interval.
The visitors did pull one back after the break, but David Deeney restored Slough’s three-goal advantage from the penalty spot after Burnell was felled inside the box.
And Deeney struck his second spot-kick of the afternoon late on to seal a memorable win for the Berkshire side.
Meanwhile, ten-man Hayes & Yeading United won by the odd goal in five to send Heybridge Swifts out.
A first-half brace from Kudus Oyenuga gave Hayes a convincing lead, although Ben Newson handed the visitors a way back into the tie with his 54th-minute strike.
And Hayes were plunged into further trouble 15 minutes from time when Mark Bentley was dismissed.
However, the Conference South side rallied, and Jerome Anderson netted seven minutes later to seemingly put the result beyond doubt.
And Michael Cheek bagged an injury time effort for Heybridge, but it proved to be little more than a late consolation for the Essex outfit.
Slough Town and Hayes & Yeading will now look forward to Monday's draw to see who they will face in the next round.
