Harrogate Town will face Frickley Athletic in the Third Round Qualifying of The FA Cup after four goals in 13 second-half minutes helped them to a 5-1 mauling of West Auckland Town.
Luke Dean’s 40th-minute penalty ensured Harrogate entered the interval with the lead, although John Campbell’s superb free-kick 20 minutes after the break levelled the score.
But that proved to be as good as it got for the visitors. Headers in quick succession from Lee Elam and Paul Beesley made it 3-1, while Beesley bagged another strike with 14 minutes remaining.
And things went from bad to worse for West Auckland Town as Chib Chilaka added a fifth before Paul Garthwaite was dismissed in the dying seconds.
Harrogate will be joined in the next round by Chester, who overcame Gainsborough Trinity in their Second Round Qualifying replay clash.
Dominic Collins, a second half substitute, put Chester in front with a close-range finish, before Jamie Yates took the tie into extra-time with a spectacular long-range effort in the last minute of normal time.
And with penalties looming, Levi Mackin scored shortly after the start of the second period of extra-time to break Gainsborough hearts and earn his side a tie with Halifax Town on Saturday.
