Leyton Orient left it late at Waddon Road to end Gloucester City's FA Cup dream in the FIrst Round.
Goals from David Mooney and Dean Cox in the last three minutes were enough to put the Londoners through.
However, the Conference North side put up brave resistance in a match that had been postponed last week, and they were close to taking the tie to a replay.
But having lasted until the 87th minute - and with manager David Mehew no doubt hoping for a trip to Brisbane Road - they finally succumbed to their League One opponents.
Mooney put Russell Slade's side ahead in the 87th minute, heading home a cross from Cox.
And then, with Gloucester desperately searching for an equaliser, The O's made sure of a place in the Second Round with a second goal from Cox.
The former Brighton winger ran through the Gloucester defence and fired home from outside of the area to double their advantage.
It must have been tough for Gloucester who drew a crowd of 1,381 for the tie.
Darren Edwards came close to edging the home side in front and setting up a giant-killing almost scoring in the first minute - Jimmy Smith clearing off the line to deny him.
But after that Orient stepped up a gear. Ryan Brunt hit the woodwork and Tigers 'keeper Mike Green had to be on top form to keep the O's at bay.
So it was no real surprise when, in the end, Gloucester couldn't quite complete the job and Orient made their greater attacking threat count.
The O's now head for another away game against non-league opposition, Afreton Town, in the Second Round.
