Former FA Cup winners help lay Wembley Stadium turf at their new Wembley FC home.

Former FA Cup winners Martin Keown and Ray Parlour helped to lay a piece of turf from Wembley Stadium on the pitch at Vale Farm, home of Combined Counties League side Wembley FC, ahead of their FA Cup with Budweiser Extra Preliminary Round match against Langford FC.

A host of former football internationals including Ray Parlour, Martin Keown, Graeme Le Saux, Claudio Caniggia and Brian McBride returned to the game for the tie, stepping out for Wembley FC as they knocked out Langford courtesy of a thrilling 3-2 victory.

Caniggia was amongst the goalscorers too, with Wembley's Technical Advisor and former England Manager Terry Venables watching on from the sidelines.

The game also marked a moment in broadcasting history - it was the first time an Extra Preliminary Round FA Cup tie has been shown on live TV. The match was also ‘simulcast’ – airing live on ESPN and streamed live online through the Budweiser UK Facebook page and www.BudUnited.com at once.
