Kick-off – Chelsea get the game underway at Wembley Stadium.

11 minutes – Gareth Bale skips past Jose Bosingwa, but his cross is too deep for everyone and the chance is gone.

15 minutes – Aaron Lennon breaks clear on the left before finding Rafa Van Der Vaart on the right. The Dutchman’s first time shot goes well over the bar though.

16 minutes – Didier Drogba is cautioned for a foul on the half-way line.

25 minutes – Van Der Vaart has a shot blocked on the edge of the area after a nice move from Spurs. Lennon picked up the pieces, but then shot well wide of the target.

27 minutes – A lightning break from Salomon Kalou sees him place a superb pass into the area for Juan Mata, but the Spaniard couldn’t quite get a sure enough touch and Carlo Cudicini saves.

32 minutes – Drogba gets his head to Ramires’ centre, but his effort is diverted narrowly wide of the post for a corner which ultimately comes to nothing.

36 minutes – Lennon’s ball into the area is headed towards goal by Van Der Vaart. Petr Cech is beaten, but Chelsea skipper John Terry makes a brilliant goal-line clearance.

40 minutes – Van Der Vaart whips a ball into the area aiming for Adebayor, but the pace of the ball evades everyone before crashing against the post and out to safety.

43 minutes – GOAL! Drogba strikes Chelsea ahead just before the break, taking Lampard’s direct pass on his chest before spinning William Gallas and smashing a shot past Cudicini and into the goal.

45+1 minutes – Half-time.

46 minutes – The second-half is underway. No changes for either side at the break.

49 minutes – GOAL! Chelsea get a second, as Mata shoots at goal and seemingly through a scramble of players on the goal-line. Referee Martin Atkinson took the decision to award the goal.

56 minutes – GOAL! Spurs pull a goal back, as Van Der Vaart’s slide-rule pass sends Adebayor through. He knocks the ball past Cech, for Bale to slot home into an empty net.

59 minutes – David Luiz replaced by Gary Cahill, after hurting himself in the build-up to Spurs’ goal. The Brazilian is stretchered off and looked in pain.

69 minutes – Gary Cahill shoots over the bar, after a corner was only half-cleared by Spurs. Prior to that, a fantastically timed challenge from Ledley King prevented a shot on target from Drogba.

75 minutes – Jermain Defoe introduced in place of Rafael Van Der Vaart.

77 minutes – GOAL! Chelsea restore their two goal advantage, as Mata chips a lovely pass through into the box for Ramires who lifts a shot over Cudicini and into the goal.

80 minutes – William Gallas booked for a foul on Drogba.

81 minutes – GOAL! Chelsea as good as secure their place in The Final, as Frank Lampard strikes a dipping free-kick past Cudicini and into the bottom corner.

81 minutes - Florent Malouda on for Ramires.

85 minutes – Drogba is replaced by Fernando Torres for the last five minutes.

89 minutes - Malouda wastes a glorious chance to make it 5-1, as his chipped cross for Torres is way too high.

90 minutes - Adebayor booked for a foul on Gary Cahill.

90+3 minutes - Scott Parker cautioned following a tiff with Jon Obi Mikel, who is also booked.

90+4 minutes - Parker is replaced by Sandro.

90 + 4 minutes - GOAL! Malouda makes it 5-1, with a calm finish in the area after another assist from Mata.

Full-time - Chelsea will be back at Wembley in The FA Cup Final on 5 May, when they will play Liverpool.
