Leyton Orient’s youngsters produced a stunning performance in their FA Youth Cup Third Round tie at MK Dons.

Hayden Carter’s early strike gave the home side the lead but Andy Edwards’ side roared back to claim a 3-1 victory. Two goals from Jake Argent and a second-half strike from Louis Crowther gave Orient a place in the Fourth Round.

Elsewhere, Hartlepool pulled off an impressive 2-1 win over Sheffield United. Chay Liddle fired the home side ahead before the Blades equalised through Nathaniel Foster’s unstoppable drive. But Hartlepool grabbed a winner late on as Tom Marron headed home to spark wild celebrations.

Newcastle emerged victorious after being taken to extra-time by Doncaster at the Keepmoat Stadium. With the game goalless after 90 minutes, Brad Inman fired the visitors ahead just 60 seconds into the first period of extra-time. And as Rovers pushed forward in search of the equaliser, Craig McDermott took advantage of the space left in behind, adding two more late on to send the Toon through.

Huddersfield Town eased into the next round with the 5-0 demolition of Atherstone Town. Ryan Watson opened the scoring on 17 minutes before James Spencer’s brace put Town 3-0 ahead. Michael McCaffrey’s brace added some gloss to the scoreline as Town romped to an easy win.

Watford overcame treacherous weather conditions to record a convincing 3-0 win over Wycombe. Matty Whichelow scored twice and captain Eddie Oshodi added a third to give the Hornets victory and Connor Wickham and Josh Carson scored the goals as Ipswich saw off Tranmere 2-0 at Prenton Park.
