Carnegie overcome Villa

Leeds Carnegie Ladies recorded an impressive 4-2 away win over Aston Villa Ladies.

Midfielder Remi Allen opened the scoring for Leeds after eight minutes and strikes from captain Jade Moore, Ellen White and Katie Holthan helped them reach the quarter-final stage of the competition.

Premier League leaders Millwall Lionesses crashed out of the Premier League Cup after being beaten 2-0 by Arsenal Ladies.

Jennifer Beatie fired Arsenal into the lead after just eight minutes and Jayne Ludlow sealed the victory with just five minutes left on the clock.

Doncaster Belles progressed to the next round with a 3-1 win over Leicester City.

The home side raced into a two goal lead with goals from Liz Hansen and Vicky Exley. Kirsty Robson reduced the deficit before the interval but Rachel Williams clinched the victory for Doncaster midway through the second half.

Everton cruised into the next round with a 4-0 victory over Sunderland.

Natasha Dowie, Fara Williams, Jill Scott and Jody Handley scored the goals to knock out last season's FA Women's Cup runners-up.

Nicky Harding netted an extra time winner to help Blackburn record a 2-1 away victory over Birmingham.

Krissy Torkildsen fired the home side into the lead from the penalty spot, but Katie Anderton equalised for Rovers. Blackburn came out on top when Harding scored with five minutes left on the clock in extra time.

Lianne Sanderson scored the winner for Chelsea as they beat Portsmouth 1-0.
