The FA Tesco Women's Premier League Cup

Exley seeks Vic-tory

Doncaster captain Vicky Exley is looking for her first domestic Final success.

Vicky Exley will appear in her sixth domestic Final with Doncaster Rovers Belles on Thursday evening and she will be looking for her first ever victory.

The Belles will take on Arsenal in a repeat of the WFA National League Cup Final of 1994, which the Gunners won 4-0 at Cambridge United, and Exley is determined to bring The Cup back to the Keepmoat Stadium.

"In the lead up to The Final all the girls have been buzzing around the training ground and feeling confident," she said.

"We've had a really good season so far and if we win The Cup, it will be fantastic. I haven't won any of The Finals that I've played in with Donny and that is definitely my motivation; I want to win a trophy with this club."

Now under the baton of John Buckley, Rovers enjoyed their most successful period in the late 1980s and early '90s, winning The FA Women's Cup six times, but they haven't won any silverware for 15 years and that is one statistic Exley would love to change on Thursday.

"Arsenal are a great side, so we know it'll be a tough match. But we're determined to give it our best, so fingers crossed we can win."
