England U19 star Toni Duggan scored a sensational hat-trick as Everton crushed Portsmouth 7-0 to reach the last eight of The FA Women's Cup.
Jill Scott, Natasha Dowie, Fara Williams and Jody Handley were also on target for the Toffees as they stormed into the quarter-finals where they will face Blackburn Rovers.
Holders Arsenal are also through following a tight 3-2 victory over Leeds Carnegie but needed a crucial goal from England’s Rachel Yankey to get there. Jennifer Beattie put Arsenal ahead after 15 minutes but Ellen White equalized.
Wales captain Jayne Ludlow put the Gunners back in front and Yankey made it 3-1 before Jess Clarke replied to make it a nervy final few minutes for the home side, who now take on Doncaster Rovers Belles.
Doncaster earned their place in the last eight by winning 1-0 away at Birmingham with a penalty from captain Vicky Exley while Blackburn beat OOH Lincoln 1-0 after extra time with a spectacular overhead kick from Katie Anderson. The same player had earlier missed from the penalty spot.
Barnet won 3-2 at West Ham after extra time in a thrilling tie to earn a clash against Yeovil or Nottingham Forest. West Ham twice came from behind through two Nina Downham goals but were beaten in the end by Claire Thomas’ winner. Holly Sandow and Gemma Rudman also scored.
In the Fourth Round, Chelsea won 2-1 at Liverpool, goals from Dani Buet and Casey Stoney winning the day after Katie Williams had put Liverpool ahead. They now take on Milwall Lionesses for a place in the quarters. And also in the Fourth Round, Curzon Ashton crushed Liverpool Feds 5-0 and Yeovil Town won 3-1 at Norwich.
